TL;DR
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE): Supporting βs Core Speech products through production deployments, monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning with an accent on reliability operations and performance/architecture improvements. Focus on solving operational issues via automated tooling and cloud-native infrastructure while providing off-hours site reliability support.
Location: Remote (Pennsylvania, United States). Occasional travel to Core Speech Operations offices in Pittsburgh, PA. Travel: 5%-10%. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
Salary: $124,000 - $170,500 (base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible).

What you will do
- Perform operational deployments, implementations, and maintenance for production systems.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and reporting of performance metrics and perform capacity planning for Core Speech products.
- Implement and maintain operational alerting systems.
- Join an on-call rotation to provide off-hours site reliability support and respond to alerts.
- Collaborate on projects and independently drive improvements to system performance and architecture.
- Participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives while complying with professional and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree and 6+ years of equivalent experience in operations support and/or application development, or High school diploma/GED and 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- Ability to solve problems logically, methodically, and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B).
- Must not perform work in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
Nice to have
- Experience with devops tool languages (Python, Jython, shell) and programming languages such as Java and Go.
- Experience with Git version control (GitHub or GitLab).
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and non-SQL databases (MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB).
- Experience with CI/CD and build systems (GoCD, GitHub, GitLab).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, containerd) and cloud orchestration/automation (Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, EFS, EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront) and observability tools (Grafana, Redis, Solr, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Filebeat).
