CI/CD DevOps Engineer

Salary: $110,000–$165,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable platforms.
• Automate builds, testing, artifact versioning, quality gates, deployments, environment promotion, rollbacks, and release validation.
• Manage build systems, dependency management, artifact repositories, Docker image processes, and scalable build infrastructure.
• Support multi-service, multi-environment, and multi-tenant SaaS releases using feature flags, canary releases, and blue/green deployments.
• Integrate DevSecOps controls, observability, metrics, logging, alerting, and operational runbooks into delivery workflows.
• Use delivery data to troubleshoot failures, improve pipeline performance, and reduce infrastructure costs and release incidents.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in build engineering, release engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering.
• Deep practical expertise with CI/CD tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code or automation technologies such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, plus strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with build systems, dependency management, artifact repositories, versioning strategies, and troubleshooting complex deployment and environment issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with development, QA, security, and operations teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments involving HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service engineering capabilities.
• Familiarity with LaunchDarkly or similar feature management and progressive delivery tools.
• Experience with Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability platforms.
• Experience integrating security controls, compliance validation, software supply chain protection, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
