Project Director (Project Execution, Power Innovation, West) (Power Infrastructure)

Location: TX Houston - Tower, United States; travel may be required up to 50%.

What you will do

• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of power generation systems, substations, and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, project managers, and technical specialists.
• Develop and oversee multi-year capital budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and schedule controls.
• Review and approve project documentation while maintaining alignment with business goals and engineering standards.
• Evaluate technical alternatives, identify project risks, and conduct analyses supporting project decisions.
• Communicate milestones, risks, and strategic updates to senior leadership while coordinating with contractors and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least seven years of experience in engineering, project controls, commercial development, operations, or project management within the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with project scheduling and resource planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Oracle Applications.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project execution skills, with safety as the highest priority.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NFPA, NEC, ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• PE license and/or PMP certification.
• At least five years of relevant experience in engineering, project controls, commercial development, operations, or project management within the oil and gas industry.
