Heavy Maintenance Material Coordinator (Aviation Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Lead Material Coordinators supporting aircraft heavy maintenance events and provide technical leadership, training, and operational guidance.
• Plan material requirements before heavy maintenance inductions and coordinate delivery schedules with maintenance teams, MRO providers, and on-site representatives.
• Manage sources of supply, including self-supplied and MRO-provided parts, while optimizing total cost and contractual compliance.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, material receipts, core returns, unserviceable parts, repair vendors, service levels, and operational performance.
• Validate material requests against MPD, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and non-routine requirements.
• Improve heavy-check processes, service levels, cost efficiency, and operational flow across the supply chain.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a heavy maintenance check coordinator, material planner, or in an equivalent role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information, manufacturer manuals, parts manuals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to solve practical problems, make daily resource decisions, and communicate effectively with vendors, management, and internal customers.
• Ability to work outdoors in an open-air hangar occasionally and remain on call 24/7.
• Availability for travel of up to 30%, including overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in aviation, supply chain, or a related field.
• Airline experience.
