Senior Associate Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology, Oncology (Preclinical Oncology)

What you will do

• Validate and execute preclinical in vivo oncology imaging studies using CDx, PDx, xenograft, and clinically relevant models.
• Apply PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, and bioluminescence imaging across efficacy, biodistribution, pharmacokinetic, toxicokinetic, tolerability, and dosimetry studies.
• Lead protocol reviews, schedule in vivo activities, define execution timelines, and write and follow laboratory SOPs.
• Perform animal health monitoring, husbandry, test article administration, perfusion, tissue resection, and biological sampling.
• Manage data quality control, laboratory documentation, sample disposition, and radioactive or BSL2 materials.
• Mentor and train new staff while communicating study details with scientists and managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, or a master's degree plus 3 years of experience, in Biology, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Experience with preclinical animal studies, cell culture, inoculation, aseptic technique, tumor monitoring, and humane endpoints.
• Ability to work with IACUC animal-use protocols and animal inventory systems.
• Strong written and oral communication, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Availability to work some weekends and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work with various computer systems and programs.

Nice to have

• Minor surgical procedures, tissue microdissection, anesthesia, radioactivity, and BSL2 animal or sample experience.
• Experience with PET, SPECT, MRI, BLI, gamma counting, and Cayuse.
