What you will do
- Conduct analytical and sensory testing of in-process and finished products within required timelines.
- Record, interpret, and enter test results into designated forms and LIMS software.
- Identify inconsistencies and out-of-specification trends and escalate quality concerns.
- Receive, handle, store, and retain samples according to established procedures.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and verify laboratory equipment, instruments, methods, and standards.
- Support Quality, Operations, and other departments while maintaining a clean and safe laboratory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to follow GMP, GLP, HACCP, SOP, environmental, health, safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn laboratory instrumentation software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
- Must be willing and able to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in an applied science.
- Previous analytical laboratory experience.
Culture & Benefits
- Training is provided Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for approximately 4–12 weeks.
- The assignment is expected to last at least 12 months, followed by a rotating 2nd- and 3rd-shift schedule.
- For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, major medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and applicable statutory sick pay may be offered.
- Work requires safe handling of chemicals, food allergens, compressed gases, and laboratory materials.
- Physical requirements include extended standing, sitting, and walking; working at heights; stair climbing; and repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds.
