Microbiologist Technician

Location: York, United States. Onsite work in a sterile manufacturing and classified cleanroom environment. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

BioTechnique is a sterile injectable contract development and manufacturing organization providing formulation, compounding, fill-finish, and lyophilization services from investigational applications through commercial production.

What you will do

• Execute microbiological testing and environmental monitoring for products, utilities, surfaces, air, and personnel.
• Perform sampling, microbial analysis, routine testing, and monitoring in accordance with SOPs and compendial standards.
• Prepare media, sampling kits, and test solutions and support sterilization practices.
• Operate biological safety cabinets and laboratory instrumentation using aseptic techniques.
• Clean and sanitize laboratory spaces and equipment, and support maintenance and calibration activities.
• Document results in validated systems such as ACE and LIMS while supporting inventory management and cross-functional activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline; Microbiology is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC Microbiology function.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques, processes, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with biological safety cabinets.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required; C2C arrangements are not currently accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
• Experience with disinfectant efficacy studies and facility validation.
