Finance Storytelling Lead

Location: Hybrid in New York City; candidates outside NYC may relocate to New York City or San Francisco

Salary: SF/NY target base salary of $160,000–$220,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Embed with Ramp Finance to identify meaningful lessons from planning, closing, decisions, experiments, and customer conversations.
• Write first-person posts, executive points of view, customer stories, and other finance-focused content.
• Develop original finance insights through research, surveys, practitioner analysis, and proprietary spend data.
• Build a repeatable system for identifying ideas, capturing source material, developing drafts, and publishing content.
• Partner with Customer Marketing, Sales, Communications, data, and economics teams to create and distribute customer and finance stories.
• Set audience and distribution plans for each piece and evaluate content performance.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing ability, strong reporting instincts, and the ability to explain complex financial and operational ideas clearly.
• Understanding of CFO, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, treasury, payments, capital allocation, or finance technology topics.
• Data literacy, including the ability to use AI and trusted data to investigate questions and develop compelling metrics or charts.
• Ability to write in an executive’s voice while preserving the leader’s perspective, rhythm, and convictions.
• Ability to work independently from rough notes and incomplete briefs.
• Based in New York City and willing to work closely with the team in person.
