Software Engineer, Performance (C++)

Salary: $160,360–$240,540 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Analyze, profile, debug, monitor, and optimize the performance of autonomous vehicle software.
• Design and develop systems and tools for memory management, thread prioritization, and process and thread lifetime management.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to define system-level architecture and reusable building blocks.
• Build core libraries and APIs that enable autonomy engineers to write high-performance code.
• Drive performance engineering best practices across the team and organization.

Requirements

• Strong systems fundamentals and proficiency in C++.
• Expertise in computer architecture and operating systems.
• Experience developing in highly concurrent, multiprocessor, and multithreaded environments.
• Experience optimizing performance and porting software across x86, ARM, GPUs, and SoCs.
• Experience with performance profiling tools such as perf, VTune, BPF, or Nvidia Nsight Systems.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience and a BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• GPU programming experience with CUDA or OpenCL and low-level Nvidia GPU driver optimization.
• Experience with Nvidia DriveOS or ROS.
