Staff Network Production Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; or Sunnyvale, CA, United States

Salary: $193,000–$234,000 annually plus bonus; Restricted Stock Units included.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end network infrastructure deployments across new and existing data centers and edge sites.
• Translate high-level network designs into site-specific implementation plans, cable maps, and configuration templates.
• Perform burn-in testing and site acceptance testing for new network clusters before handoff to Operations.
• Automate device staging, configuration, and validation using Python, Ansible, and Zero Touch Provisioning.
• Coordinate with remote-hands teams, structured cabling vendors, and data center providers on physical-layer requirements.
• Track hardware assets and bring new backbone capacity and edge interconnects online.

Requirements

• 8+ years of network engineering experience focused on large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in structured cabling, including SMF/MMF and MPO/MTP, optical transceivers up to 400G/800G, and data center power and cooling requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms, and leaf-spine architectures.
• Strong understanding of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP for large-scale fabric provisioning.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible, with experience troubleshooting physical- and link-layer issues using OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in hyperscale or ISP environments, plus the ability to manage projects across multiple locations and time zones.
