Autonomous GSE Operator

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; on-site at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

AeroVect is a Series A company developing autonomous ground-handling technology for airlines and airport ground service providers.

What you will do

• Operate autonomous airport tractors and supervise autonomous baggage tugs during live cargo and baggage operations.
• Manually drive vehicles to and from the storage depot when required.
• Log vehicle behavior, performance observations, and key operating metrics.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of vehicles and hardware systems.
• Work with engineering to trial and test new vehicle features.
• Interface with cargo and baggage personnel and contribute expertise to improving vehicle handling in complex driving scenarios.

Requirements

• Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments.
• Valid US Class C Driver’s License, at least 3 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
• Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role with a high level of responsibility.
• Reliability, attention to detail, strong communication skills, alertness, and sound driving instincts.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends.
• Ability to pass federal background checks and obtain and maintain an airport security badge.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary degree.
• Airside operations experience or familiarity with ATL cargo operations and layout.
• Experience operating autonomous vehicles or overseeing autonomous machinery.
• Experience with safety-critical infrastructure or test driving.
• Basic computer programming skills; ROS experience is a plus.
• Interest in autonomous driving and aviation.
