TL;DR
Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure, Optimization (Autonomous Vehicles) (ML infrastructure/robotics): Building scalable machine learning model lifecycle infrastructure and optimized models for Nuro’s self-driving vehicle fleet with an accent on model pipelines, quantization, low-precision inference, and model pruning. Focus on developing the FTL model compiler, optimizing GPU runtimes, and deploying reliable learned ML solutions across autonomous driving systems.

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: $160,360–$240,540 base pay annually, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and deploy core infrastructure for the machine learning model lifecycle.
  • Optimize hirify.global’s autonomy stack using quantization, low-precision inference, and model pruning.
  • Optimize, validate, and deploy large language models with autonomy engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain the FTL model compiler framework.
  • Profile and optimize GPU machine learning compilers and runtimes.
  • Collaborate with behavior, perception, and mapping engineers to implement end-to-end learned ML solutions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in ML optimization infrastructure.
  • Experience with quantization, model pruning, and ML compilers.
  • Experience maintaining, profiling, and optimizing GPU ML compilers and runtimes.
  • Proficiency in Python and working experience with C++ and CUDA.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or Keras.
