Director of Data Science (Commerce Platform)

Location: Must be based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $255,000 – $375,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of data science and analytics leaders across a diverse product portfolio.
• Define the analytical direction, including experimentation, KPI design, forecasting, and funnel analytics.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market leaders to influence commercial strategy and investment decisions.
• Build the operating system for decision-making by improving instrumentation and creating single sources of truth.
• Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Significant experience leading senior teams and developing managers.
• Strong product and business analytics judgment with a track record of influencing strategy.
• Deep expertise in experimentation and causal inference.
• Hands-on technical fluency in SQL and statistical analysis.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with imperfect data.
