Associate Systems Analyst - IT Inpatient Pharmacy (Healthcare IT)

Location: Information Technology Center, 315 Point Marion Road, Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. Standard office environment with possible travel to WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

• Support the design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and optimization of healthcare software systems.
• Assist with system modifications, error correction, user security settings, data imports and exports, and basic reporting.
• Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and align technical solutions with operational needs.
• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, risk management, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide end-user support, classroom or one-on-one training, readiness assessments, and training-content development.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through training, research, industry resources, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze business needs, document functional specifications, troubleshoot systems, and support testing.
• Foundational skills in workflow analysis, process mapping, data analytics, time management, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment, sit for extended periods, and perform frequent walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Relevant certifications or proficiencies may be required within 90 days after formal training.

Nice to have

• Experience with business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems and advanced workflows.
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings and healthcare system implementations.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, cloud-based healthcare applications, web services, systems administration, and reporting tools.
