Data Engineer (Scala/Python)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid with three office days per week

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve scalable data pipelines, infrastructure, and decision-making systems.
• Contribute to persona modeling and ad delivery optimization systems, with a current focus on persona technology.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and SLI/SLO practices.
• Troubleshoot and improve reporting and data workflows for business users.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Core Services, data analysts, and software engineers to connect and streamline services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Scala or Python and experience with Spark.
• Professional experience with SQL and AWS services, including SageMaker, ClickHouse, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of at least one backend language such as Go, C#, or C++.
• Fluency in English and French is required.
• Interest in machine learning, algorithmic systems, data reporting, and end-to-end data systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
