Machine Learning (LLM) Intern

TL;DR

Machine Learning (LLM) Intern (AI/Quantum): Designing and developing machine learning models based on quantum and quantum-inspired technologies, with an accent on LLM/NLP experimentation, benchmarking, and model optimization. Focus on building prototypes, evaluating model robustness and efficiency, and solving challenging industry use cases with AI and quantum experts.

Location: Hybrid in San Sebastian, Spain; a 6-month internship contract with a relocation package if applicable.

What you will do

• Design and develop machine learning models using quantum and quantum-inspired technologies.
• Implement prototypes and run experiments to evaluate model performance.
• Conduct rigorous model benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Fine-tune and optimize models for accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.
• Evaluate model strengths and weaknesses and propose novel enhancements.
• Collaborate with AI and quantum experts, customers, and the founding team on real-world use cases.

Requirements

• Studying toward or holding a bachelor's or master's degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of machine learning, particularly LLMs and NLP, with a solid understanding of fundamental concepts.
• At least one personal project involving large language models.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Pandas, or similar libraries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and Docker.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AI projects in industrial or research environments.
• Experience with data engineering, large datasets, and data quality.
• Additional personal machine learning projects.
