  • Design thermal management systems for high-performance data center products, including water-cooling solutions and advanced cooling concepts.
  • Develop internal manifolds, quick disconnects, Coolant Distribution Units, heat exchangers, and other components for high-power processors.
  • Run liquid thermal simulations to predict and analyze heat exchanger performance.
  • Oversee testing and validation for thermal performance, reliability, and efficiency, resolving issues identified during testing.
  • Document design specifications, simulation results, testing reports, and collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical systems engineers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of thermal and mechanical engineering experience focused on water cooling and advanced thermal management.
  • Expertise in direct-to-processor cooling systems, cold plates, internal manifolds, quick disconnects, CDUs, and heat exchangers.
  • Experience with mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, tolerances, GD&T, and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools such as NX, Creo, CATIA, or similar.
  • Experience with Fluent or comparable thermal simulation tools, TIMs, heat sink designs, and advanced cooling technologies.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in thermal management or a related field.
  • Experience with phase-change cooling and other cutting-edge thermal management concepts.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully in-person work in San Jose, with cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineering and research.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans with substantial premium coverage.
  • $500 monthly credit for waiving medical benefits.
