Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Hybrid in Buenos Aires, Argentina

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data warehouse in Snowflake.
• Build and orchestrate ELT pipelines sourcing data from databases, streaming systems, and web APIs.
• Integrate warehouse data with third-party tools through reverse ETL.
• Develop and maintain REST API endpoints for data science products.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake usage for cost-effectiveness, performance, security, and accurate permissions management.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business users to design solutions and research improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining business data warehouses with structured and unstructured data.
• Experience building and orchestrating ETL or data preparation pipelines.
• Expertise with Airflow or Prefect and proficiency connecting systems through web APIs.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database architecture and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of Python, Java, C++, or another programming language.
• Required experience with Snowflake.

Nice to have

• Experience improving Snowflake implementations and using dbt.
• Knowledge of data science and machine learning technologies.
• Experience with event and user tracking tools such as GA, Heap, or CDPs.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
