Senior Data Scientist (Optimization, Python)

What you will do

• Analyze cargo and network planning problems using data analysis and optimization techniques.
• Design mathematical models with mixed-integer programming and constraint programming.
• Solve scheduling and routing problems involving time windows, capacity limits, and operational constraints.
• Scale optimization models using heuristics, warm starts, and decomposition approaches.
• Build robust Python solutions, reproducible pipelines, automated tests, logging, traceability, and version control.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and engineering stakeholders and communicate model behavior, trade-offs, and limitations.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in data science, optimization, or operations research.
• Hands-on experience with mixed-integer programming and/or constraint programming CP-SAT.
• Experience solving scheduling, routing, or network optimization problems.
• Strong Python, SQL, data analysis, data validation, and software engineering skills, including modular design and testing.
• Experience building reproducible analytical or optimization pipelines and integrating multiple data sources.
• Fluency in Spanish and intermediate working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in cargo, airline, logistics, or transportation domains.
• Familiarity with fleet, maintenance, hub, or capacity planning constraints.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery or Dataflow.
• Background in combinatorial optimization.
