Working Student in Compliance (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany, hybrid; regular office attendance is expected. Remote work from anywhere in the EU is available for up to 10 consecutive days at a time and up to 60 days per year as a workation benefit.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day activities across Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime.
• Prepare, maintain, and organise compliance documentation and structured evidence for internal and external reviews.
• Monitor and improve processes across investment compliance, regulatory compliance, data protection, and anti-financial crime.
• Coordinate information and priorities within the Compliance & AFC team.
• Collaborate with Risk, Operations, and first-line teams to reflect regulatory requirements in internal processes.
• Contribute to research, documentation, process enhancement, and technology-enabled productivity initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a German university or Hochschule and remaining enrolled for at least one more year.
• Based in Berlin and available for a hybrid setup with regular office attendance.
• Studying law, finance, or a related field, with relevant internship or working student experience in compliance or another highly regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of compliance and second line of defence functions.
• Clear English communication skills and comfort working in a structured written culture.
• Curious, organised, solution-oriented, and able to manage work independently and collaborate effectively.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AI prompting or technology-supported research and productivity workflows.
• Exposure to financial services, fintech, or investment-services regulation.
• Interest in developing expertise in Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, or broader control functions.
