Compliance & AFC Working Student (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany, hybrid; regular time in the office is required. Remote work is available from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time and up to 60 days per year as a workation benefit.

Compensation: €15–17 per hour.

What you will do

• Support daily operations across compliance, anti-financial crime, investment compliance, regulatory compliance, and data protection.
• Monitor and improve compliance processes in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and organise documentation for internal and external audits, including dwpbank Group reviews.
• Conduct regulatory and legal research for country expansion assessments, product launches, and partner onboarding.
• Use AI-assisted research methods and prompt engineering to improve compliance workflows.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a German university or Hochschule and expected to remain enrolled for at least one more year.
• Based in Berlin and available for a hybrid setup with regular office attendance.
• Studying law, finance, or a related field, with relevant internship or working student experience in compliance or another highly regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of compliance and second-line-of-defence functions.
• Clear English communication skills and comfort working in a structured, documentation-focused team.
• Organised, curious, solution-oriented, independent, collaborative, and attentive to detail, with initial experience in AI prompting or technology-supported research.

• Hands-on experience with AI prompting and technology-supported research or productivity workflows.
