Autonomous Driving Systems Simulation and Data Analysis Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada or the United States. This role is hybrid.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain simulation tooling in C/C++ and Python to support large-scale autonomous driving validation.
• Design interfaces between internal validation tools, simulation environments, and data processing frameworks.
• Extend simulation scenarios to inject perception noise, latency, and failure conditions to characterize system robustness.
• Process, visualize, and evaluate large-scale driving and simulation datasets using Python and C/C++ pipelines.
• Quantify system performance against KPIs, SPIs, and safety targets to provide data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

• Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada or the United States.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science.
• Experience validating performance criteria for autonomous driving functions (ACC, Lane Centering, Highway Driving Assist).
• Proficiency in developing production-quality software in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments and Docker containers.
• Experience integrating software applications into CI/CD pipelines and automated validation workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Applied Intuition Simian or Foretellix simulation environments.
• Knowledge of Autonomous Driving Safety Performance Indicators and ISO 21448 (SOTIF).
• Experience supporting safety case development or safety requirement specification activities.
