What you will do

• Design and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployment methodologies across virtual and physical enterprise environments.
• Manage and architect VMware vSphere infrastructure, including performance tuning, clustering, hypervisor engineering, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain complex Ansible playbooks for system configuration, application deployment, and orchestration.
• Build BMC TrueSight Server Automation scripts and jobs for configuration tracking against government baselines such as DISA STIGs.
• Implement security controls, automate vulnerability remediation, and perform root-cause analysis of hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Integrate containerization technologies and produce engineering documentation, design diagrams, and configuration blueprints.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience or equivalent experience, including 5+ years managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE or CySA+, and a recognized Linux certification such as RHCSA or RHCE.
• Advanced VMware vSphere expertise covering ESXi, vCenter, virtualization tuning, and cluster management.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining complex Ansible playbooks from scratch.
• High proficiency with Bash and Python scripting, plus experience translating DISA STIG requirements into automated security controls.
• Working knowledge of OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes, including REST API integration, and an active Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security modernization programs.
• Custom BMC TrueSight Server Automation script policy and metrics experience.
• RHCE, VMware Certified Professional, or comparable advanced certifications.
• Cloud architecture and infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS or Azure.
