What you will do

• Perform detailed defect data analysis using statistical and data-mining tools to identify root causes.
• Identify exclusionary and baseline defect sources and recommend or lead corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on product and process defect performance.
• Own defect analysis for assigned process-flow segments and provide expertise on process control.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams addressing complex yield issues.
• Support manufacturing technicians and work with on-site vendor field-service engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, statistics, data science, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant semiconductor fabrication and processing experience, or a master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with statistical process control, design of experiments, and statistical data analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, communication, teamwork, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with JMP/JSL, Python, R, and SQL for statistical data analysis and programming.
• Experience in new technology startups, process or yield engineering, manufacturing, metrology, semiconductor foundries, or OSAT environments.
• Active US Government TS Security Clearance with SCI access, or the ability to obtain and maintain it; this requires US citizenship.
• Experience working across process engineering, integration, and yield organizations.
