Pre-sales Engineering Manager (Retail & CPG)

What you will do

• Lead hiring, onboarding, development, and scaling of a pre-sales Solutions Architect team.
• Support complex sales cycles and increase platform consumption revenue through Solutions Architect engagement.
• Develop solution- and value-based selling practices for the field engineering organization.
• Engage directly with senior customer stakeholders to accelerate technical implementation decisions and customer projects.
• Build Databricks’ brand and go-to-market presence across UK&I Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods accounts.
• Use AI to improve team workflows, productivity, and operational scale.

Requirements

• Experience leading, developing, and building teams of Big Data, AI, or Cloud professionals in pre-sales.
• Customer-facing experience across the Retail and CPG sectors in the UK and Ireland.
• Experience with complex strategic accounts and go-to-market strategy development.
• Experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams.
• Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, AI, and cloud software models.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and process-improvement skills.
