What you will do

  • Build manufacturing test and production systems for a robot assembly line.
  • Automate subassembly and full-system checkouts, including pass/fail logic, calibration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Integrate test PCs and edge devices with robots, DAQs, PLCs, sensors, actuators, cameras, motor controllers, and embedded devices.
  • Develop operator-facing workflows, UIs, and test executives for factory technicians.
  • Design data models and backend services for test results, configuration tracking, quality records, and build traceability.
  • Connect localized test software with MES and factory systems such as OpenBOM, PLM, ERP, and inventory tools.

Requirements

  • Experience writing software that interfaces with physical equipment and cloud APIs or databases.
  • Ability to build an initial production system, support it on the factory floor, and develop it into a durable platform.
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing, hardware, and embedded engineering teams.
  • Background in robotics, aerospace, defense, automotive, drones, satellites, medical devices, industrial automation, consumer hardware, or complex electromechanical manufacturing is preferred.
