Biotechnologist I (Biotechnology)

Location: Onsite in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. The role follows a rotating 12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and monitor purification, CIP, and SIP manufacturing equipment.
• Execute downstream manufacturing operations, including chromatography, filtration, and product processing.
• Support column packing, viral reduction filtration, product sampling, and laboratory testing.
• Transfer materials safely across production areas and maintain equipment and facilities through cleaning and sanitization.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues, review documentation, and participate in shift handovers and team meetings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities in a GMP manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a science-related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work onsite in Portsmouth and follow the rotating overnight 12-hour schedule is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, or another regulated production environment.
• Experience with downstream purification, chromatography, or filtration systems.
• Experience with column packing and viral reduction filtration.
