Field Calibration Services Supervisor

Location: Wayne, New Jersey, United States. The role requires travel to customer locations, with travel stated as approximately 20–30% in one section and up to 60–80% in the onsite engagement requirements.

Salary: $35.14–$57.14 per hour in local currency, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Supervise calibration technicians across multiple sites and remote teams, assign work, track turnaround times, and plan daily workflows.
• Provide mentoring, onboarding, cross-training, technical guidance, and hands-on calibration support.
• Perform and oversee calibrations across torque, temperature, pressure, electrical, and dimensional disciplines.
• Review calibration data and documentation, maintain equipment readiness, and support ISO, ANZ, and AS audits.
• Monitor operational metrics, enforce safety protocols and SOPs, and support Kaizen, 5S, and other lean initiatives.
• Coordinate customer updates, issue resolution, check-ins, QBRs, onsite visits, and pre- and post-onsite planning.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of calibration experience in a laboratory or field environment, preferably across multiple disciplines.
• Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ANZ540.1 standards.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical teams and customers.
• Proficiency with calibration software, Microsoft Office, and service-management tools such as Gage, FSM, CalWeb, or Dynamics.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and support customer-site calibration activities.
• Must be a U.S. Person or be prepared to secure the required U.S. government export authorizations; continued employment depends on obtaining them.

Nice to have

• Formal training or certification in electrical, dimensional, pressure, or other calibration disciplines.
• Experience leading or participating in 5S or Kaizen events.
• Knowledge of metrology and measurement uncertainty.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations or large customer accounts.
• Experience supervising technicians or leading small teams.
