Community Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, on-site

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Co-host developer meetups with ecosystem partners by sourcing speakers, building relationships, and running events.
• Sponsor technical hackathons for engineers and researchers in machine learning and AI infrastructure.
• Own the webinar program, including topic development, speaker coordination, promotion, and funnel growth.
• Create unconventional events and help community members run meetups under the company banner using playbooks, templates, and support.
• Turn events into recaps, clips, talks, stories, and marketing campaigns.
• Manage venues, partners, speakers, logistics, promotion, event-day execution, follow-up, and performance tracking.

Requirements

• Track record of running events or building communities, with specific successful examples.
• Knowledge of the San Francisco AI and developer ecosystem, or the ability to build those connections quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the company on stage.
• Good judgment when evaluating events and sponsorship opportunities.
• Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple events and partner relationships.
• Comfortable working in person in San Francisco in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships across the San Francisco AI ecosystem.
• Experience in developer marketing or developer relations.
• Experience building a community-led or ambassador program.
• Familiarity with the AI infrastructure space or the platform.
