Developer Advocate (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annual base compensation, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Build and manage a developer community across Discord, Reddit, and X.
• Answer technical questions and help developers deploy models and debug their setups on Vast.
• Create tutorials, example repositories, and short technical videos.
• Represent Vast at hackathons, meetups, and conferences, including sponsored events.
• Collect developer feedback and communicate product issues and opportunities to the product team.
• Develop partnerships with developer-focused YouTubers and other creators.

Requirements

• Professional engineering experience with the ability to deploy models and debug technical setups.
• Experience building a developer community, ideally from its early stages.
• Strong writing, communication, public speaking, and community engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently, define content initiatives, and execute them without extensive oversight.
• Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience at a cloud, GPU, AI infrastructure, or developer tools company.
• A tutorial series, open-source repository, or technical talk with demonstrated reach.
• Working knowledge of model deployment, inference, and fine-tuning.
