Build & Release Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and operate GitHub-based CI/CD systems, including GitHub Actions, checks, and workflows.
• Own and evolve Bazel-based build and test infrastructure for C++, Python, Rust, and TypeScript development.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes services and cloud infrastructure with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Automate release, provisioning, and access workflows through GitHub-integrated systems.
• Reduce flaky builds, failed deployments, and CI bottlenecks to improve engineering throughput.
• Partner with engineers across the stack to make builds, tests, and deployments predictable and fast.

Requirements

• Strong experience operating GitHub-centric development workflows at scale.
• Deep familiarity with CI/CD systems and build reliability challenges.
• Experience with Bazel or similar large-scale build systems.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong focus on developer experience and operational leverage.

Nice to have

• Experience improving CI throughput for hundreds of engineers.
• Expertise in Bazel optimization, including remote caching, test sharding, and incremental builds.
• Security- or InfoSec-adjacent infrastructure automation experience.
• Background in internal developer productivity or platform teams.
