Network Infrastructure Architect (AI)

Salary: $250,000–$330,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Architect network fabrics for hyperscale AI clusters, from RDU-accelerated servers to global-scale deployments.
• Own fabric, interconnect, and spine-leaf architecture decisions for compute platforms.
• Translate customer and workload requirements into product requirements, platform roadmaps, and architecture tradeoffs.
• Partner with hardware engineering, supply chain, operations, and customer-facing teams from concept through deployment.
• Evaluate switch, NIC, optical, and fabric ecosystems using a vendor-agnostic approach.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience designing or architecting infrastructure for hyperscale, AI, HPC, or large-scale data center environments.
• Deep knowledge of AI cluster networking, including InfiniBand, RoCEv2, Ethernet-based AI fabrics, 400G/800G interconnects, and GPU-to-GPU east-west traffic.
• Experience with lossless Ethernet, QoS, ECN, PFC, congestion management, buffer tuning, and failure-domain isolation.
• Strong understanding of spine-leaf architectures, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, ECMP, underlay/overlay design, and network automation.
• Experience with high-speed optics and cabling, including 400G/800G transceivers, DAC/AOC, fiber topology, and link budgets.
• Ability to work across hardware engineering, supply chain, operations, and customer-facing functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU or accelerator systems, rack-scale compute, NVLink/NVSwitch-class fabrics, PCIe/CXL, and DPUs/IPUs.
• Understanding of rack-level power, thermal, mechanical, and serviceability requirements.
• Background in large-scale fleet operations, lifecycle management, reliability, observability, telemetry, and field issue resolution.
