QA Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Hybrid in Wiesbaden, Hessen, Germany

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and native iOS and Android apps.
• Create and optimize Playwright automation scripts using JavaScript, maintain existing scripts, and use AI tools to accelerate automation workflows.
• Perform functional, smoke, sanity, integration, localization, and regression testing for registration, ad posting, search and filtering, and premium subscription features.
• Apply a shift-left testing approach by collaborating with developers, product managers, designers, and DevOps teams.
• Investigate, document, and track defects in Jira and Confluence, coordinate fixes, and provide clear feedback to developers.
• Verify environments before production releases and collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support on release quality.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and testing, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and the Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Experience creating and executing Playwright automation scripts with JavaScript or a similar tool.
• Experience with Git and GitHub workflows, plus basic SQL for direct database queries.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work in a hybrid setup in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API and performance testing.
• Exposure to AI-driven QA tools, test generation, or intelligent automation platforms.
