Field Data Analyst (Robotics)

Location: Fully onsite at the Mission Viejo, California office; Irvine, CA is also listed in the job header. Local candidates are preferred.

Salary: $75,000–$115,005 per year, dependent on experience, with full benefits and equity.

What you will do

• Validate mission datasets from deployed robotic systems, including completeness, schema, integrity, and anomaly checks.
• Analyze operational logs, telemetry, and mission outputs to identify trends, anomalies, and system behavior.
• Support root-cause analysis and investigate recurring field issues with Fleet Operations, Rapid Support, Solution Delivery, engineering, and customer teams.
• Prepare clear performance reports and summaries that translate technical data into actionable customer insights.
• Provide validated datasets to engineering teams for debugging and analysis.
• Improve data validation workflows, automated checks, dashboards, documentation, and reporting templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with messy operational datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar data analysis tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work fully onsite from the Mission Viejo, CA office; local candidates are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomy systems, IoT, or sensor data.
• Familiarity with time-series data, logs, or telemetry.
• Experience with data pipelines or ETL workflows.
• Experience creating reports for external stakeholders.
