Senior Software Engineer, Agent Frameworks (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA; expected to work from the Seattle offices

Salary: $126,000–$189,000 base salary per year, plus bonus plans

hirify.global is a Seattle-based nonprofit AI research institute developing foundational AI research, open models, data, robotics, conservation, and other scientific technologies.

What you will do

• Design and build frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and execution surfaces for research agents, tools, and services.
• Build sandboxed execution infrastructure that enables safe inspection and iteration of agent workflows at scale.
• Develop evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for agent components and end-to-end systems.
• Create developer-facing abstractions and tools for research scientists to build, compose, and deploy agents.
• Improve reliability, observability, cost-efficiency, testing, and deployment across agent systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong Python engineering skills and experience building production services and developer-facing tools.
• Experience designing SDKs, APIs, or frameworks adopted by other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with agentic systems, including orchestration, tool integration, sandboxed execution, or memory management.
• Experience designing evaluation or benchmarking infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud infrastructure, containerization, and deployment automation.
