Salary: $176,400–$264,600 base pay annually, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design across prototype development, product development, and long-term R&D.
• Direct the research, design, and delivery of mechanical modules for autonomous vehicle platforms.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, planning, procurement, production, and TPM teams.
• Own industrialization and manufacturing from initial prototypes through production ramp.
• Manage a large engineering team across multiple product lines while developing people, processes, accountability, and technical rigor.
• Resolve critical program issues, lead milestone reviews, and align timelines and priorities across programs.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience, including at least 3 years managing teams.
• Demonstrated excellence in mechanical design and delivery of complex products at low and high volumes.
• Experience with automotive or consumer electronics product cycles, including qualification, validation, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills for working with engineers, leadership, and external suppliers.
• Experience recruiting, mentoring, and scaling an engineering organization, with strong organizational and project management skills.
