Technical Buyer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Procure direct materials, components, and services based on production requirements and forecasts.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Testing, Quality, Planning, and other internal stakeholders on technical specifications and purchasing requirements.
• Process requests for quotes, requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial and technical terms, and assess supplier performance.
• Monitor delivery schedules, manage delivery risks, and initiate continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate logistics with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience purchasing machined components and mechanical assemblies in aerospace, automotive, or a similar industry.
• Extensive technical knowledge of turned and machined parts or related areas.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Understanding of composite materials, alloys, and machined parts.
• Ability to plan and meet project deadlines, with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
