iGaming Platform Quality Engineer (Contract) (iGaming)

Location: Fully remote, with occasional travel required to headquarters in Málaga, Spain

hirify.global builds backend platforms and services that power iGaming products and connect games with operators, aggregators, suppliers, and other external partners.

What you will do

• Own test strategy and quality assurance for backend platform services, common iGaming capabilities, operator integrations, vendor integrations, and platform changes.
• Design and execute API, integration, end-to-end, regression, contract, exploratory, and risk-based testing.
• Validate game launches, player sessions, authentication, wallet interactions, bet/win transactions, refunds, rollbacks, configuration, currencies, languages, and jurisdiction-specific behavior.
• Build and maintain automated API and integration regression suites with Playwright and integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Test resilience, scalability, transactional consistency, observability, and recovery across distributed services and external dependencies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, compliance, operators, and suppliers to investigate and resolve integration and production issues.

Requirements

• Experience with test strategy, risk-based testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, defect lifecycle management, and root-cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, API contracts, authentication, integration testing, and contract testing.
• Experience with Playwright, API automation, automated regression, test data management, mocking, and service virtualization.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, databases, messaging or event-driven systems, logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Knowledge of iGaming platform features, game lifecycles, player sessions, wallets, transactions, operator integrations, aggregators, suppliers, and regulatory considerations.
• This is a six-month extendable contract; applicants must operate through a fully registered limited company.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated iGaming, payments, fintech, or other high-transaction environments.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing, cloud platforms such as AWS, and observability tooling.
• Experience with operators, aggregators, game suppliers, or other third-party integrations.
• Scripting or development experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience applying AI tools to quality engineering and test automation.
