Service Operations Analyst (IT Operations)

Location: Porto, Portugal; shift system covering all market operational hours in a 24/7 operation

What you will do

• Provide first-level technical support across applications, networks, systems, databases, and security.
• Prioritize and progress the resolution of faults and queries across client systems.
• Troubleshoot network, database, infrastructure, application, and security issues.
• Participate in serious incident, problem, and change management.
• Undertake project work, implement service improvements, and perform quality assurance after changes.

Requirements

• Degree, CET, or equivalent qualification in a computer-related subject.
• English required for daily communication with teams and customers.
• Affinity with Windows, Linux, and/or Solaris operating systems.
• Knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle databases, Nagios monitoring, and Juniper or Cisco networking.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, TCPdump, Nessus, and Snort security tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, multitasking, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial markets, equities, derivatives, futures, options, or warrants.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and processes.
• Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, PHP, or Python.
