Junior Data Scientist

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands; candidates must reside in the Netherlands due to on-site requirements.

Salary: €3,516–€5,021 gross per month for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Test, analyse, and document sanctions-screening models.
• Evaluate recall and precision metrics and analyse relevant datasets.
• Prepare executive summaries and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Update model-monitoring documentation after model changes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across business areas to maintain model effectiveness and alignment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Hands-on coding experience with Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
• Affinity with analytics, statistical testing, and model monitoring.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, self-starting attitude, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• English proficiency at C1 level and residence in the Netherlands are required.
