Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead an internal team developing AI products and shape the future of Machine Learning Engineering expertise.
• Work as a technical expert on multidisciplinary client projects with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and other business units.
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
• Build production-level ML/AI solutions using robust software engineering practices.
• Guide Data Scientists in scaling models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
• Deliver training, lead meetings and workshops, organize events, and communicate expertise through articles, conferences, and press releases.

Requirements

• MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience building production-quality ML or Deep Learning pipelines and models.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and expertise in a domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
• Expert Python skills plus at least one of Scala, C++, or Java; experience with SQL or PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, Unix command line, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Experience coaching or mentoring engineers, with strong project management, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Dutch is required. A work permit cannot be provided. Willingness to travel and work with local and international clients is required.
