Junior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid

Salary: $96,750–$148,350 per year

What you will do

• Build new features for internal and external users and refactor existing functionality.
• Design and evolve the application platform architecture in line with team needs and the product roadmap.
• Develop and maintain Python-based applications using Django, Django REST Framework, or FastAPI.
• Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, infrastructure, clinical, QA, and regulatory teams.
• Maintain engineering standards through code reviews, testing, integration, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Support the reliability, data integrity, compliance, and inspection readiness of the clinical-trial SaaS platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of full life cycle development experience with Python.
• Experience designing and building Python applications with FastAPI or Django.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with AWS and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a complex domain.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of an infrastructure-as-code framework.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
