hirify.global is building Scientific Superintelligence to automate the scientific method across medicine, materials, and energy.

What you will do

  • Develop (Fleet) orchestrators, Schedulers, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Design and build high-performance APIs and backend services for AI-driven applications.
  • Architect and scale diverse data systems including SQL, NoSQL, and Vector DBs.
  • Optimize system bottlenecks to ensure high availability and low-latency performance.
  • Deploy production-grade systems on AWS using Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with robotics scientists and ML teams to integrate orchestration into scientific workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience building and deploying large-scale backend or data systems in production.
  • Proficiency in distributed software and data systems such as Postgres, Flyte, Temporal, NATS/MQTT, and FastAPI.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants to drive productivity is required.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with scientists, data engineers, and product teams.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Cambridge, MA, USA.

Nice to have

  • Experience with operations research solvers like OR-Tools, HiGHS, or Gurobi.
  • Experience developing scheduling software or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Python for science libraries including pandas, polars, numpy, scipy, and pytorch.
  • Domain background in laboratory software or analytics for life or material sciences.
