Location: On-site in Burlingame, California, United States
Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do
- Design, route, build, and maintain harnesses and cables for satellites.
- Create harness drawings in collaboration with electrical, mechanical, avionics, GNC, and other satellite design engineers.
- Select components and define processes that support reliable, manufacturable solutions throughout the mission lifecycle.
- Coordinate harness production with contract manufacturers according to program schedules and design requirements.
- Design and build test harnesses, fixtures, and setups for DVT, environmental testing, subsystem debugging, and other verification activities.
- Support hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical harness design.
- Ability to interpret PCBA schematics, technical drawings, test plans, procedures, and work instructions.
- Experience with harness test equipment, including multimeters and hipot testers, and with building test fixtures such as test boards and peg boards.
- Familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and electrical design standards including IPC, MIL-STD, and SMC.
- For this U.S. role, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Clear verbal and written English communication is required.
Nice to have
- Experience designing, handling, and integrating spaceflight hardware.
- Exposure to spacecraft environmental testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and thermal cycling.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments.
- Familiarity with aerospace documentation standards and configuration control.
