Senior Python Developer

Location: Hybrid work in Barcelona, Poblenou, Spain

Zurich Technology Delivery Center is the Barcelona-based technology division of hirify.global, delivering software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure solutions for local and global business units.

What you will do

• Design and build RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
• Architect database solutions using SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or equivalent technologies.
• Write efficient, testable code based on SOLID principles and clean-code practices.
• Collaborate with teams to define and implement microservices.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance and database queries, and apply design patterns.
• Mentor junior developers on clean-code practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Advanced ORM expertise with SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or an equivalent technology.
• Expert-level experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, clean-code practices, separation of concerns, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Experience with async/await and concurrent programming.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with message queues such as Celery or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI or Swagger.
• Experience with test-driven development.
