Senior Backend Spark Developer (Apache Spark)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable Big Data solutions using Apache Spark.
• Build, maintain, and improve data processing pipelines and integrations across multiple systems.
• Lead technical decisions and contribute to data platform architecture.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability while resolving complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing Big Data solutions with Apache Spark.
• Strong Scala programming skills; Python experience is also relevant.
• Solid SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Hive, or similar Spark-based platforms.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus, Agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• English at B2+ level or above is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Control-M, Apache Airflow, or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or AI-driven data platform initiatives.
