Salary: $5,526.42–$7,941.25 CAD per month

What you will do

  • Coordinate concurrent internal and external graduate scholarship and fellowship competitions, including application review, adjudication, nominations, and recipient funding offers.
  • Interpret complex eligibility, admissibility, deadline, and adjudication questions in accordance with hirify.global and external funding-agency policies.
  • Prepare application files, reports, spreadsheets, nomination letters, committee materials, and communications for adjudicators, faculty, staff, students, and funding agencies.
  • Review award datasets, upload award assignments to the Student Information System, and resolve SISC errors with Student Systems and Enrolment Services.
  • Maintain awards website content, application forms, policies and procedures, databases, statistics, and hirify.global Calendar updates.
  • Plan Killam events and provide administrative support for the Graduate Scholarships Committee, including scheduling, venues, invitations, catering, minutes, and event materials.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to two years of related experience, including hirify.global administrative, systems, and procedures experience.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, such as MS Excel, plus intermediate experience with word processing, databases, email, internet, and electronic calendaring applications.
  • Ability to analyze problems, interpret complex policies, maintain accuracy, exercise discretion, and meet strict deadlines during high-volume periods.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, explain complex information, train staff, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to comply with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and university policies and procedures.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of hirify.global scholarship, finance, payroll, and graduate awards policies.
  • Experience with Access, SIS, FMIS, or SISC.
  • Knowledge of NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, and scholarship adjudication processes.
