Software Engineer - Data Center

Location: Fully onsite in Memphis, Tennessee, or Southaven, Mississippi; candidates are expected to be located nearby or open to relocation.

What you will do

• Build and operate software stacks for scalable, auditable data center operations, including repair trackers, vendor turnback workflows, dashboards, and integrations.
• Design and maintain multi-service production systems spanning user interfaces, APIs, data pipelines, authentication, and on-call operations.
• Own the correctness of operational state, queue ownership, and audit trails used to coordinate work across data center sites.
• Integrate internal tools with ticketing, inventory, rack systems, telemetry stores, and vendor portals.
• Maintain uptime, data integrity, reconciliation, access control, observability, and safe deployment practices.
• Work closely with SiteOps and NOC users and measure workflow adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience building and operating production software in backend and/or full-stack roles.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Rust, Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, databases, cloud platforms, observability tools, unit tests, and integration tests.
• Fully onsite availability in the Memphis, Tennessee, or Southaven, Mississippi area, or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

• Full-stack or backend and data experience with workflow or state-machine systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, multi-service systems, operational UIs, external API integrations, and performance load testing.
• Experience owning correctness-sensitive internal platforms and working with operations, NOC, and infrastructure teams.
• On-call experience and a production-focused engineering approach.
• MS in Computer Science or a related field, or experience leading technical work in rapidly changing environments.
