Analytics Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Connect the new data platform to the existing warehouse and resolve customer-specific data quality issues.
• Run discovery with radiology administrators, quality and operations leads, IT, and informatics teams to define meaningful metrics.
• Build governed semantic models, reusable metrics, and dashboards for embedded customer-facing analytics.
• Apply statistical methods to healthcare reporting data, including confidence intervals, risk adjustment, outlier handling, and sample-size considerations.
• Use AI tools to describe, model, and document data relationships while verifying their output.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to prioritize durable analytics products and explain findings to clinical and executive audiences.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, or business/BI analysis, preferably with customer-facing stakeholder experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Working fluency in statistics, including confidence intervals, significance testing, sample sizes, outliers, and skewed distributions.
• Experience with a governed BI or semantic-layer tool such as Omni, Looker, Sigma, ThoughtSpot, or an equivalent platform.
• Experience with SQL/Python notebook environments and dbt/Snowflake-style data modeling.
• Direct experience defining or maintaining semantic layers and communicating analytical findings to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, health IT, or regulated-industry data experience, including HIPAA awareness.
• Radiology knowledge such as PACS, HL7/FHIR, turnaround time, RVU, or template-driven reporting.
• Experience with customer-facing analytics products, multi-tenant data governance, row-level security, or hospital and health-system sales cycles.
