Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; some telecommuting is permitted. In-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required.

Salary: $105,000–$188,760 per year base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports.
• Analyze trends, anomalies, and business patterns to identify operational improvements and business value.
• Translate business objectives into technical data requirements and collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
• Develop insight-driven tools and Power BI dashboards, supporting functionality, validation, and data integrity after launch.
• Create data stories through presentations, written summaries, and visualizations with actionable recommendations.
• Document data provenance, ETL logic, models, and code while communicating findings across the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience with Alteryx for automated data workflows and ETL, Power BI dashboard development, Microsoft Excel, and team leadership or mentorship.
• Experience with Snowflake or Presto databases and querying tools such as Oracle.
• Experience maintaining data models, datasets, dashboards, and operational reporting ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Jira administration, project management, data visualization, and storytelling.
• Experience with Python, data preprocessing, and statistical techniques including hypothesis testing, linear regression, and logistic regression.
