Regulatory Programs Specialist

Location: Hybrid in São Paulo, Brazil — three days per week in the office and two days remotely

What you will do

• Research and analyze conformity assessment, regulatory, and technology issues.
• Support the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of conformity assessment schemes and certification programs.
• Monitor regulatory developments from Inmetro, Anatel, and other authorities, assessing their impact on services and operations.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into internal procedures, work instructions, and operational processes.
• Prepare conclusions and recommendations and support projects and ongoing program objectives.
• Collaborate with Quality, Certification, Inspection, Technical, regulatory, and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Science, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in conformity assessment, certification, regulatory affairs, compliance programs, quality systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements, certification schemes, standards, and conformity assessment frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Brazilian regulatory programs and authorities such as Inmetro and Anatel.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Advanced English proficiency required for meetings, global collaboration, and professional documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience in a certification body, testing laboratory, inspection body, regulatory authority, or product compliance organization.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC conformity assessment standards and the CASCO toolbox.
• Experience with regulators, industry associations, accreditation bodies, standards organizations, or working groups.
• Knowledge of certification programs for electrical products, telecommunications, consumer products, or industrial equipment.
• Additional language skills, particularly Spanish or Portuguese.
